Solution Yes.

Since you are creating a theme for WordPress, it will run on WordPress as it's own section of your site. yoursite.com/blog and is unaffected by many changes you make in XSP. Some things will change automatically though, which is desired so you do not have to update your WordPress theme every time you update your XSP site.

For example, if you use XSP's dynamic menu's (recommended), then every time you change the menu (adding pages, deleting pages, renaming pages), this change will instantly update on your blog.

If you change the background colour or image of the main site using the Margins Tab in XSP, it will auto update on the blog.

If you change the header graphic using the Basic Header option in XSP, it will auto update. Though generally we encourage people to be completed the design of the main site before porting it to WordPress.
